Seeking a highly motivated and energetic student to learn the principles of data science and systems engineering while solving challenging problems for the US Navy. The candidate will join a dynamic team of MITRE FFRDC engineers at the MITRE San Diego office at Liberty Station. Individual will be involved in delivering innovative solutions for some of the governments most challenging and immediate problems. Student will gain valuable technology experience assisting in prototyping and research projects at MITRE San Diego. The student will work with data analysis tools such as R, Python, and BI tools and integrate with complex systems optimized for big data analysis.

Required Qualifications:
Candidate should possess or anticipate a degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent.


Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment, self-starting ability to solve problems and possess a strong work ethic.


Minimum Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree
