This is an early/mid career opportunity in information systems security and Lockheed Martin invites you to step up to one of today’s most daunting challenges

We are looking for an experience professional who is self-motivated, a strategic thinker, and team player willing to share knowledge with other team members. You will work with the Weapon Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (WSEIT) team supporting the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) program

What types of responsibilities will you have in this position?

• Provide System Security Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Information Assurance support to configures and/or validate secure systems and test products and systems to detect security weakness.
• Perform Accreditation (Risk Management Framework) activities throughout each of the six (6) stages of the process.
• Perform and/or evaluate vulnerability scans on systems utilizing approved network scanning tools and appropriate Government provided software and scanning tools.
• Develops information systems security plans and procedures.
• Provides system integration and coordination between THAAD components regarding Security Engineering and Information Assurance functions.
• Participate in assessments of security engineering designs and implementation in all aspects of Security Engineering and Information Assurance.
• Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle; validate system security requirements definition and analysis; establish system security designs; implement security designs in hardware, software, data, and procedures; verify security requirements; perform system certification and accreditation planning and testing and liaison activities, and support secure systems operations and maintenance

• This position requires a Secret clearance to start therefore US Citizenship is a requirement for consideration

Basic Qualifications
- Familiarity with operating systems: Unix/Linux (Solaris, RedHat, etc.) or Windows OS (7, 10, etc.)
- Experience with vulnerability and/or patch management
- Experience with the secure configuration (e.g. DISA STIGs) of information systems
- Basic network knowledge to include routers, switches and/or firewalls
- Demonstrate an understanding of Cybersecurity / Information Assurance
- DoD Secret clearance prior to starting in the position (requires US citizenship)

Desired skills
- Strong desire for experience in Certification & Accreditation (C&A) or Assessment and Authorization (A&A)
- Comp TIA Security+CE certification or equivalent/higher
- Experience with DoD/NIST Cybersecurity processes and artifact development
- Knowledge of the Systems Engineering Life Cycle
- Experience with scripting in Visual Basic (VB), Perl, Python, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA)
