This position supports the GPS Control Segment Sustainment program in Colorado Springs. The selected candidate will be responsible for vulnerability management and perform IT security functions such as vulnerability scanning and patching. Major duties include assessing cybersecurity vulnerabilities, engineering responses for system POA&Ms, and conducting risk analysis for Risk Assessment Reports (RARs) IAW the Risk Management Framework (RMF). The primary focus will be the review and analysis of security features and controls as well as recommendations to software and hardware engineers for better and more secure products and operations. The candidate is expected to perform system security reviews, execute and lead NESSUS System scans, Contractor Verification Tests (CVTs) and Security Test & Evaluations (ST&Es). Candidate will review systems and tests of the systems to periodically verify that security features and operating controls are functional and effective

Basic Qualifications
Experience supporting Information Assurance activities as either a Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, Software Engineer or Systems Engineer and knowledge of RMF and Assessment & Authorization activities. Current DoD 8750 IAT Level II Certification. Ability to rapidly assimilate complex technical information and produce quality documentation required to achieve program objectives. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidate must be willing to work weekends and shift work, when needed. At a minimum an active DoD Secret clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Desired skills
Must have experience in cybersecurity to include conducting cybersecurity verifications, performing cybersecurity compliance and knowledge of RMF. Current DoD 8750 IAT or IAM Level II certification. Excellent technical document preparation and verbal communication skills are required for presentation of technical cybersecurity issues and reports to the Government. Experience with UNIX operating system. Candidate must be willing to work weekends and shift work, when needed
