Work with MITRE Cyber Security Engineers supporting a fast-paced program looking at the latest techniques in machine learning and data analytics to help solve our sponsors cyber security challenges.  Graduate interns will support MITREs research and development of machine learning and artificial intelligence prototypes to tackle challenges that involve large, complex data sets.  Interns will be expected to collaborate with colleagues across MITRE to accomplish their tasks.  Candidate will help MITRE with new ideas, working with new data sources, and prototyping new methods of performing analysis on the data.


  • Assist MITRE engineers in the evaluation and development of solutions for the analysis of large, complex data sets.

  • Discover and recommend innovative solutions and best practices that address sponsors challenges

  • Integrate solutions to the sponsors operational environment.

Collaborate with MITRE colleagues across the corporation to identify cutting-edge solutions that can transition to the sponsor.


Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or similar field. Candidate should possess the ability to be responsible for deliverables or parts of deliverables to MITRE customers.


Knowledge of analytical methodologies, machine learning, data science, and cyber security frameworks is required.

Knowledge of networking, cyber security, and familiarity with Linux is preferred.

Technologies involved include Python, R, C++, Elastic Search, Hadoop, and graph databases.
