Job Details

Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking a well-qualified Postdoctoral Associate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or comparable discipline for the Infrastructure Security Department. This postdoctoral researcher will focus on research, development and demonstration of advanced, integrated cyber-physical anomaly detection methods, metrics for assured resilience of systems, and multi-agent designs that provide for distributed monitoring. Analytics, both physics-based and data-driven techniques will be applied in a control system environment. 
The candidate is expected to be a strong asset to our interdisciplinary R&D team and work effectively both alone and as a team member. The candidate must be self-motivated but also take direction from other team members and peers. The position entails writing scientific manuscripts for conference and journal publications, presentation of research results at peer review meetings, national and international conferences and meetings.

• PhD requirements must be completed by commencement of appointment and within the previous 5 years 
• PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or comparable disciplines
• Candidate must have a R&D experience in the development and implementation of software applications in common scripting/coding languages, anomaly detection methodologies and measurement and control of in real time and other networking environments
• Candidate must have demonstrated oral and published written communication skills in the areas of cyber-physical systems
• Candidate must be a US Citizen.  Must be able to obtain and maintain a US DOE Q-clearance

• Candidate has practical experience in the design and configuration of networking devices and the implementation of real time and other networking environments
• Candidate has a good background in the use of Matlab/Simulink to implement analytics and control designs
• Candidate has a good background in the use of dynamic power system development emulators, such as OPAL-RT
