Lockheed Martin in Colorado is seeking a Cyber Systems Manager to work on a cutting-edge team developing embedded systems solutions targeting problems related to (but not limited to) cyber security

The Job:
As one of the largest defense contractors in the world, Lockheed Martin is responsible for developing embedded systems platforms in many exciting domains including satellites and avionics. This position provides the opportunity to get involved on the ground-floor of an exciting new program designing and developing new software and hardware components to be integrated into the future F-35. The ideal candidate for this position would have experience designing, integrating and testing complex systems as well as general systems engineering experience including writing and managing test procedures, use cases, and maintaining requirements and verification traceability. Involvement in all phases of software development is required, i.e. development of software requirements and design documents, project plans, test plans, test execution, and training customers on the use of the products. The selected candidate may also be involved in various embedded and cyber security related research and development projects

In this position, the candidate will be responsible for working with the agile development teams to conduct activity planning and sequencing, resource planning, schedule development, time estimation, documentation, risks and issues management, monitor and report progress, team leadership, and controlling quality of program deliverables

Keeping up with the latest methods, tools, and technologies is important to their success and as such most projects target the latest FPGA devices on the market and training opportunities are often made available

Louisville Colorado is a suburb of Boulder Colorado. Located near the front range of the Rocky Mountains, the area is known for its 300 days of sunshine, thriving cultural scene, and natural beauty. The area offers nearly endless opportunities for nearby snow skiing, hiking, and nature viewing

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years or more of professional experience; or 12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Experience throughout the entire engineering lifecycle (system definition, design, build, test and deployment)
• Experience with agile development and continuous integration processes
• Experience with industry standard agile development tools like Jira and Confluence
• Strong technical communication skills (experience communicating technical designs to non-technical customers and communicating customer desires to technical team)
• Experience developing sub-system and system level test plans/procedures and associated test readiness reviews
• Experience with subsystem and system level test data reduction, analysis, and test reporting
• Strong systems engineering knowledge
• Must have strong teamwork skills
• Understanding of networking standards and network security

Desired skills
• Candidates with specialized architecture and systems engineering experience including DO-254 (Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware) and Design Assurance Plan for CEH (Complex Electronic Hardware) are preferred.
• Demonstrated understanding of agile development within a scrum team
• Ability to work in a team focused, dynamic environment
• Proven ability to lead and work in all aspects of the cyber architecture, systems engineering and operations support efforts associated with the development, integration, testing and demonstration of a system solution which complies with all security and performance requirements
• Experience with Jira and Confluence
