Primarily responsible for developing and optimizing computer security approaches for systems of systems, systems, subsystems and components. Specific tasks include:
• Ability to influence the complete life cycle; CONOPs, design, development, verification test, and sustainment based on program requirements by resolving technical issues using analysis, data, industry practices, and academic research
• Ability to evaluate the impact of computer security approach, analysis, and testing
• Perform trade studies to optimize computer security performance, and total ownership cost
• Ability to plan and perform computer security scans in support of an overall Information Assurance program
• Implementation of computer security process and interpreting data derived from computer security scans to determine vulnerabilities, support risk assessments and identification and implementation of computer security controls

Designs, tests, and implements state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products. Conducts risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design. Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access. Uses encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research. May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies

Basic Qualifications
Associates degree in a related discipline combined with several years of applicable experience.

Must be able to obtain a Secret DoD Security Clearance

Experience with DoD Systems and Procedures
