Job Details

Enterprise Architect to support the JRDC program based at Schriever AFB, CO. Member of the Information Enterprise Architecture (IEA) team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Duties include the development of Enterprise Reference Architectures including Integrated Security, Cloud Computing, Identity and Access Management (IdAM), Remote Site, Data Center, Network Operations and Unified Communications. Partners with business and technology subject- matter experts to elicit and translate business requirements into technological solutions. Leads the design and modeling of tactical architectures for delivery, development, and support of projects. Partners with solution architects to provide a consensus based scalable and adaptable architectural solution. Perform research and development including requirements analysis, trade studies, technology maturity assessments and associated technology insertion projects, alignment and traceability, and recommended technological improvements (e.g., innovation) to the MDA Enterprise. Develops and maintains policies, standards, and guidelines to ensure that a consistent framework is applied across the agency. Seamlessly integrates business and service strategy into enterprise architecture roadmap. Ensures consistency with DoD CIO, DoD IEA, JIE, Cybersecurity, other high level architectural direction, as well as commercial best practices

Basic Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline • 14 years of experience as a Cyber/Network/Systems Engineer or Enterprise Architect • Strong leadership and negotiation skills with business and technical groups • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong project management and organization skills • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholders • CISSP certification

Desired skills
Missile Defense Agency (MDA) experience • Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) operational experience • Experience designing, integrating, and managing complex infrastructure solutions (e.g. VMware, Citrix) • Architecture experience in one or more of the following Network, Software Defined Networking, cybersecurity, IT operations, cloud, data center or IdAM • Knowledge of architecture frameworks (i.e, DoDAF, TOGAF, FEAF.) • Demonstrated experience with business process and performance modeling, benchmarking, and financial analysis • Experience in requirements development and management • Working knowledge of ITIL(v3), systems engineering, DoD Joint Information Environment (JIE), DoD Information Enterprise Architecture (IEA) • Eligible for a DoD Top Secret clearance • Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related discipline • 20 years of general experience and 12 years of experience as a Cyber/Network/Systems Engineer or Enterprise Architect
