The Role - Computer Science Engineer - Watkins, CO

The Computer Science Engineer will design, implement, test, and document robotics and vision algorithms in C/C++, ROS, or similar on desktop and embedded platforms. The position's responsibilities also include validation and characterization of the products developed, including embedded solutions for vision and navigation, robotics components, and hardware."

Experience and Qualifications

 

Education

 

M.S., PhD Computer Engineering, Computer Science, focusing on Computer Vision


Experience

  • 2-3 years of experience developing C/C++ applications in Linux

  • 2-3 years of work experience in the relevant field (Robotics, AR, VR, Automotive or others)

  • Experience with machine learning

  • Experience with image and video processing

  • Experience with object recognition

  • Experience with object tracking

  • Experience with GPU acceleration, including CUDA

  • Strong Math background and understanding of tracking methodology and technologies

  • Mix of research and product skills

  • Hands-on experience developing robotics or vision systems

  • Working understanding of computer systems including concurrent programming, operating

  • Experience with PCL, OpenCV, or other image processing libraries

  • Working experience in both Linux and Windows

  • Experience validating complex systems involving hardware, software, and mechanical components

  • ABB experience (S4 and IRC5 Controllers)

  • Motoman and/or Nachi robotics experience a plus

  • Proficient in programming Allen-Bradley PLC's

  • Proficient in programming Siemens PLC's a plus

  • Experience programming servo controllers and VFD’s a plus
