Description: The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta, GA is seeking a mid-level software (SW) developer with extensive knowledge and experience programming Windows C#, C++, COM Object and Networking applications.
The successful candidate must be able to design, develop and document SW architectures, troubleshoot interaction with real-time systems and lead small SW development teams.
Responsibilities include writing and peer-reviewing code, documenting SW designs, engineering level testing, unit testing and following established SW development and CM processes.
This developer will lead small teams of coders and researchers developing software for Hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test systems that are used to provide high fidelity simulation and stimulation of a real-time EO/IR, RF and Avionics environment for testing Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The software is used in Integrated Support Station (ISS) applications and standalone applications to conduct research and analysis for sustaining and optimizing EW systems.

Senior SW Developer
Lead small teams of coders and researchers developing software for Hardware-in-the-loop (HITL) test systems that are used to provide high fidelity simulation and stimulation of a real-time EO/IR, RF and Avionics environment for testing Electronic Warfare (EW) systems. The software is used in Integrated Support Station (ISS) applications and standalone applications to conduct research and analysis for sustaining and optimizing EW systems.
REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:
- US Citizenship AND/ OR the ability to get a security clearance
- BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering
- 5-10 years’ experience in software development, C#, .NET, C++
- Experience with Communication Interface Programming
- Low Level Network programming experience
- Electronic Warfare
- Understanding of HITL test equipment requirements, design and usage
- Solid understanding of common interface protocols such as MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, etc.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals, equipment, protocols and software utilities
