COMPUTATIONAL BIOLOGY FACULTY POSITION

DEPARTMENT OF IMMUNOBIOLOGY

YALE UNIVERSITY

The Department of Immunobiology at the Yale School of Medicine seeks applicants for a tenure track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. As the field of immunobiology grows in complexity, and the generation of big data sets becomes routine, there is a growing need for computational approaches. We seek candidates with training in computer science, applied mathematics, machine learning, data mining, statistics, bioinformatics or related quantitative disciplines with expertise in data analysis and/or methods development.

We are particularly interested in candidates whose research interests complement those of existing faculty (http://immunobiology.yale.edu). Qualified individuals in all areas of computational biology are invited to apply and should have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. and an excellent track record of publications. Candidates are expected to develop an independent research program and participate in teaching. They will have the opportunity to join the newly-formed Yale Center for Biomedical Data Science, and the Computational Biology & Bioinformatics graduate program.

The application package must include a curriculum vitae and a summary of present and future research interests. 3 letters of reference will be requested for final candidates only. Completed applications should be received at

https://apply.interfolio.com/45532 Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Yale is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and members of minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
