LM RMS has a requirement for a Communications System Design Engineer to provide support to the F-35 Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) network deployment onsite in Ft. Worth, TX. This position will support the RMS business unit. Position requires strong working knowledge of layer 2 and 3 networking along with production and administrative procedures for a highly visible F-35 program location. Position will also assist with the design and sustainment of the overall F-35 Extranet expansion through analysis, modeling, and simulation based on rapidly expanding subscriber site activations and remote user needs

Basic Qualifications
-Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Security clearance
-Experience in Layer 2 and 3 Networking
-Strong Security Engineering background
- Experience with multiple firewall appliances
-Experience with Encryption equipment
-Experience in both Windows and Unix/Linux systems administration and operating systems
-Experience with network routers, switches, taps and firewalls
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and prepare designs for networks in relation to intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to build and work with Network modeling tools

Ability to travels to other sites as required.
- Demonstrated experience with the management, design, and installation of servers, routers, switches, and network taps in a business environment
- Extensive troubleshooting experience with Unix, Linux, Windows operating systems.
- Extensive troubleshooting experience with network hardware including but not limited to Fortinet, McAfee, Juniper/Cisco switches, routers firewalls and Net Optics taps
- Demonstrated PC and networking skills, including NetMeeting, conferencing servers.
- Working knowledge of reading blueprints and wiring server racks
- Systems administration experience with servers and network installations/integrations
- Ability to travel as required
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Driven by quality customer service
- Communicate effectively both in a written and verbal manner with management and subordinates

Desired skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture and Construction
- Current active Top Secret security clearance
- Solid understanding of the Lockheed Martin Network enterprise policies, procedures, sustainability and change management
-Demonstrated ability to provide high-level network, systems administration and technology management
- Experience with development of Standard Operating Instruction and other training skills and training material development experience
-Expertise developing and maintain training materials
-Excellent executive management presentation skills
-Strong project management skills
- Experience utilizing vendor relationships to support Extranet expansion and technology refresh.
-Prior Experience with administration, troubleshooting and maintenance for network systems.
Certifications in the following Environments: Unix, MS-, NT-, X-Windows, Linux, CCNA, CISSP, OPNET IT Guru
-Demonstrated knowledge of spanning technology in switches
