Job Details

Assist in the Plan, design, reconfiguration, and alteration of equipment, machinery, buildings, structures, and other facilities. Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and other using groups in support of the Radar Test Site, to include major facility modifications, construction projects, support equipment design and installation, and facility systems engineering projects
Major responsibilities include:
1) Construction Management & Design Engineering, including assisting in developing design/construction standards, and monitoring our Design & Construction Contractor in performing engineering designs, construction estimating, construction and subsequent inspections, project close out and warranty.
2) Plant Engineering, including assisting in developing the Facilities Infrastructure Strategy, developing the Facilities Condition Assessments, Central Utility Plant Management, and POC for building, regulatory and code compliance.
3) Assisting Project Management, including all Infrastructure, Construction and quick path Projects.
4) Assist System Engineering, performing a variety of Systems Engineering tasks and assignments that will promote the development of technical and strategic Engineering, leadership and interpersonal skills in a structured framework within the engineering disciplines, such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Systems.
5) Assisting Financial Management, including all Project and related overhead budgets, and contractor financial management monitoring & oversight

Basic Qualifications
BSCE (Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering), BSME (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent degree candidate from University of Alaska Fairbanks. Completed one or more years at an accredited college or university

Desired skills
1) Strong written and communication skills, ability to multi-task in a dynamic work environment, and strong interpersonal skills
2) MS Office product suite use knowledge (Access, Project, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
3) AutoCAD software skills
