Job Description:

This assignment involves modeling and simulation tool and application development. Candidates will partake in small, focused development team in order to create real world solutions using scientific first principals into innovative designs for applied technologies

It includes network modeling and simulation of wired and wireless networks for distributed processing down to embedded processors and high-speed point-to-point interconnects. This task area also includes mathematical modeling and simulations to support the development of signal processing algorithms. Heavy amounts of empirical analysis, statistics, data signal processing, and algorithm development for computer programming are also required. Knowledge of Matlab and/or Labview is very helpful

Candidates would work on the following topics:
* Cognitive and Machine-Machine learning techniques for spectrum applications
* Embedded processing and algorithms for prototype sensors (strong DSP knowledge required)
* Automation of processes and learning behaviors for increased Spectrum/Wireless situation awareness
* Specialized application of SIGINT for advanced signal processing
* Software architecture and specialized source codes from the enterprise down to tactical applications (e.g. coding of web services, digital dissemination services - Smart Phone apps)
* Build, test, and evaluate RF spectrum scanning systems for real world application



Desired:
* Candidate should be currently enrolled in electrical engineering, computer science, math (statistics and transforms), physics (waves or electromagnetic) or computer engineering
* C; C++; C#; JAVA; CORBA; event-based simulation; MATLAB; Labview; signal processing.
* Previous technical work experience in software development
* Previous wireless course work

The intern is expected to work 40 hours per week during the internship period (minimum of 8 weeks) working a flexible 9/80(A) schedule (typically M-Th 9 hours/day; 8 hours on Friday and every other Friday off)
