Job Details

Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for KF-X effort. This program provides technical assistance to Koreaa Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multirole fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea, and responsibilities include:

• Review and Analysis of schematic/interface for the subsystem controls including HOTAS and panels
• Review cockpit system specification and Analyze MIL-spec related to cockpit design
• Review and Analysis of Hands-On Throttle and Switch (HOTAS) grip interface for Pilot Vehicle Interface (PVI) design and integration
• Analysis of pilot workload and human system integration
• Review and Analysis of Airworthiness Certification (MIL-HDBK-516C) and compliance verification
• Review hardware Preliminary Design Review (PDR), Critical Design Review (CDR) for cockpit Line Replaceable Units (LRUs), (HOTAS, Controller, Panels, Handles, Lights, and etc.)
Support Risk Analysis and development of Hardware/PVI System Test Procedure
• Prepare for PDR, CDR (related to Cockpit Team)

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and train and mentor customer engineers. Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Candidate must be able to relocate internationally

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college
• 9+ years experience in the following skill sets
• Experience working on a Fighter aircraft platform
• Experience mentoring or training engineers on diverse teams
• Experience with human engineering design and pilot work load analysis
• Experience with cockpit hardware design (HOTAS, controls, etc.)

Desired skills
The following are desired:

• Experienced tactical fighter aircraft pilot highly desired
• Experience with Airworthiness Certification of cockpit/PVI system

Additionally:
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience with military or government programs
• Experience working with international customers, particularly the Korean Government or culture
• Experience with Export Control Compliance
