The Strategy and Special Projects Technical Manager is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing technical projects that promote business sustainability and growth. Key focus areas will be efficient operation of CH148 fleet aircraft in Canada and new business development. This individual will be required to work closely with the Acquisition and In Service Support Technical Mangers to develop the metrics needed to identify design and process improvements. The next step is to lead the implementation of selected projects and process improvements that will result in increased program revenue and EBIT. This individual will be responsible for developing technical roadmaps, marketing presentations and input to internal / external media. Canada is planning multiple technical enhancements to the CH148 and the candidate must be capable of leading the development of the technical solution, executable plan and submission of proposals to Canada. In some cases, there will be critical Special Projects, such as technical discovery or supplier escapes, that will require hands on leadership

Basic Qualifications
A proven capability of effectively leading diverse teams is required
Proven effective interpersonal, communication and customer interaction skills are required.
Experience leading technical organizations and acute problem solving skills are required
A Bachelor of Science Degree in a technical discipline is required
14 years or more of professional experience

Desired skills
Strategy development and execution skills are desired
Master of Science degree is preferred
12 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree
5 years of supervisory or leadership experience directly applicable to Engineering disciplines
Secret clearance (or ability to obtain a clearance) is a key consideration
