Job Details

Perform project engineering management activities for CMHP fleet support activities. Responsible for managing all engineering and technical aspects of the Fleet engineering support and availability savings initiatives. This position directly supports the CMHP ISS Senior Technical Manager. Responsibilities include:

• Lead an engineering team consisting of lead engineers and functional engineering to deliver the product to the customer in accordance with cost, schedule, quality and technical performance requirements as agreed to by contract.

• Ensure that the products and services under their control are delivered in a manner that fully satisfies contract obligations.

• Responsible for managing all engineering and technical aspects and, in addition to maintaining project personnel, cost and completion schedules and risk management plans.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all customer technical inquiries, working directly with Canadian DND and RCAF to ensure mission success

• Develop, review and approve project metrics that measure engineering cost and schedule performance to contract and customer requirements

• Prepare and present formal presentations to both internal and external customers.

• Provide an interface with our analytics organization to help propose solutions for CMHP availability drivers.

Work as an interface with the acquisition contract to get timely inputs for the publishing of IETMs and FM/AOI.

• Use ACE tools for process improvements in the areas of product cost, quality and schedule

Basic Qualifications
BS in Engineering or related technical field, MS Eng/MBA preferred

Desired skills
+ years of project management, helicopter design, and /or aircraft assembly and maintenance experience. Strong technical background, experience working in a design lead role or project/program management preferred. Individual must be a self starter, capable of multi-tasking, and of adapting easily within a highly changing environment. Must be customer and results focused. Strong communication skills required. Earned value and RPS experience is a must. Previous experience with fleet aftermarket engineering is a plus. Knowledge of ACE and its tools are required. Ability to travel up to 20% to Shearwater, Ottawa and Pat Bay (future) Canada to work directly with helicopter squadrons on the CH148 aircraft
