The TUHP Prototype Chief Engineer will be accountable for overall engineering technical scope, cost and schedule performance for the Prototype Aircraft Design. Lead a cross functional team including Air Vehicle, Manufacturing Engineering, System Engineering, Avionics & Flight Controls, through initial design and manufacturing. The TUHP Prototype Chief Engineer will be the Engineering Focal point to the Prototype Program Manager. This role provides an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to assume a technical leadership role including engineering project management, cross-functional team leadership and internal and external customer interface.

The TUHP Prototype Chief Engineer will also be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Identification and closure of technical issues, including supplier technical issues for the Prototype Aircraft.
• Meets/Exceeds all technical commitments made to the program.
• Provides technical guidance to the TUHP Engineering IPT leads and Ankara Engineering activities in coordination with the Ankara Chief Engineer.
• Develops metrics to monitor key Technical Performance Measures (TPM) and program performance against contract objectives
• Provides timely and accurate projections of engineering resource requirements and works with TUHP Chief Engineer to ensure RPS is up to date.
• Works closely with first and second line functional leaders to identify and secure appropriate staffing.
• Interface with various functional disciplines including program management, supply chain management, finance, contracts, operations, supportability, and quality

Basic Qualifications
• Preferred candidate would have 15+ years of rotorcraft system design engineering
• Candidate must have strong leadership skills, be a self-starter, have good technical problem-solving ability, good interpersonal skills, and be comfortable operating in a process improvement and earned value environment.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (required)
• Experience with successful project management of large projects
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Desired skills
• Masters of Science in Engineering (preferred)
3-5 years leading an IPT
