Responsible for all technical activities for current Army & Air Force Systems programs, including but not limited to – Black Hawk, Combat Rescue Helicopter, Huey Replacement Program, Future Vertical Lift (Execution), and Aftermarket activities. This includes responsibilities for developmental, upgrades, and sustainment / product support. It will also have responsibilities for the design, development, integration, and production objectives and strategies. Will serve as the principal representative to the customer and Market Segment leader on technical matters, and provide management oversight to all program engineering activities and requirements. Will provide executive level leadership and management over all technical activities and all aircraft system activities for the programs, assuring that all technical, cost and schedule objectives are met, and risks successfully mitigated. Act as principal Engineering executive in establishment of technical key performance parameters and metrics for measuring program progress against contract objectives. Finally, will work closely with key stakeholders and other P&L Chief Engineers to assure consistency of processes and metrics, and conveyance of lessons learned to position new programs for success

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Serve as key point of contact for all technical issues between Sikorsky and the customer and the Sikorsky Market Segment Leader

2. Establish and evaluate technical requirements and solutions for the Program, ensuring Sikorsky fulfills an indisputable niche with the programs. Develop and maintain the Program Engineering process and procedure definition, activities and methodologies to manage the technical aspects of the programs

3. Lead design, development and integration activities

4. Lead the Aircraft System Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). Ensure performance to the contracted statement of work, cost and schedule requirements

5. Support the Program requirements flow down process to ensure that all technical requirements are met

6. Support the risk management planning of the Program, suggesting alternative uses of resources to reduce risk and ensuring the validity of the program estimates

Basic Qualifications
qualifications for assignment to this position include an undergraduate degree, in Engineering plus extensive technical and managerial experience in aircraft related fields. Advanced degree in a technical discipline is preferred. Also requires knowledge of engineering organization, aircraft and mechanical design and development, flight and ground testing, aeronautical principles and systems, and the ability to coordinate and manage diversified technical operations
