The Program: Lockheed Martin and our Ship Building partner Marinette Marine are building a very impressive fleet of ships in northern Wisconsin. This ship class is the Littoral Combat Ships or LCS and is one of the most advanced ships of the 21st century to date. LCS is a new class of surface combatant ship designed to defeat growing threats close to shore and perform a variety of missions such as mine warfare, anti-submarine warfare, surface warfare and humanitarian relief. This exciting and important work is projected to run for many years. The successful candidate will:

-Independently review and enforce Hull, Mechanical, Electrical and Mission Systems equipment care and protection standards to be utilized from equipment delivery across hulls in production through ships delivery
-Enforce the Cold Weather Shipboard protection plan
-Provide input to the Ships Management Team, Missions Systems Team, and preventative maintenance team, for accountability of care and protection standards
-Assist with the Preventative Maintenance Program as required. To include conducting maintenance on HM&E and Mission Systems equipment. This may include standing security Guard as necessary in support of program needs.
-Provide deck plate support to the onsite LM Production Team as directed
-Assist in the monitoring of HM&E and Mission Systems equipment
-Assist the onsite LM Production Team in documenting Care and Protection Deficiencies
-Provide Daily, Weekly, Monthly, and Outlook reports to the LM Production Team, Onsite Management, and Senior Management
-Secret Level Security Clearance is required
-Overtime as necessary in support of program needs

Basic Qualifications
Strong engineering skills of ship’s equipment and systems.
Strong working knowledge shipboard Hull, Mechanical, Electrical and Mission Systems equipment
Ability to understand interaction between Mission Systems and Electronics and Hull, Mechanical and Electrical systems.
Experience working within an integrated product data environment to locate technical publications and drawings.
Demonstrated ability to develop equipment and system modification and repair specifications based on drawings and have the ability to review those drawing for errors and accuracy.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and changing priorities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
Team player with process improvement qualities; organizational skills; attention to detail.
Must be able to obtain & maintain a secret security clearance. Obtaining a security clearance requires US citizenship

Working knowledge of logistics
Working knowledge of shipyard safety standards
Knowledge of the Preventative Maintenance System (PMS)
