Job description:
The chosen candidate will serve as a Capabilities and Operations Lead for the SILVERQUARTER Program, in this role he/she will be responsible, managing multiple Delivery Orders and Task Orders from a people, customer, technical, cost and schedule perspective. This position also serves as the Chief Engineer for the program, in this role, the chosen candidate is responsible for the technical supervision of the development, production and operation of the entire program. The chief engineer's presence is expected both in the PMO office and on the different customer locations; travel is required. The candidate will also serve as a first line manager role leading approximately 10-15 Lockheed Martin junior, mid and senior level individual contributors and additionally may serve as second line leader as well. In addition to the first line manager responsibilities, this individual must be capable of fulfilling a technical individual contributor role on the SQ program that is consistent with Level 5 or 6 individual contributor expectations. As a first line manager, this individual will be familiar with and embrace the Full Spectrum Leadership imperatives. They will be responsible for Lockheed Martin personnel management activities, including implementing a communication plan, managing time and attendance, performing recruiting and hiring activities, writing and delivering performance appraisals, conducting merit planning, participating in promotion planning, career development counseling, mentoring, informal and formal performance improvement actions, and additional as-required functions for direct reports

Basic Qualifications
The candidate must be able to successfully execute multiple, simultaneous tasks, effectively communicate with leaders, peers, subordinates, and demonstrate the ability to motivate a team.

The candidate must be capable of providing leadership and direction to both junior and senior level engineers supporting the program.

The candidate must also possess excellent customer intimacy skills, as the work will be performed in both LM and customer spaces with frequent interaction with the LM PMO

Desired skills
Experience as a functional manager
Experience as an Engineer (software engineering, systems engineering, and integration and test)
The preferred candidate will have a familiarity with LM workforce policies and practices.
The candidate should have experience in leading the various engineering disciplines, such as software engineering, systems engineering, and integration and test
Experience in leadership supporting a program of similar scope, type and complexity
