This position in Engineering & Technology is located at the Aeronautics facility in Fort Worth, Texas, and is focused on CAD/CAM Data Management in support of multiple Programs in Fort Worth, Marietta, and Palmdale

Knowledge of CAD/CAM applications and Engineering processes will be combined to assist Programs with the use and troubleshooting of drawing release and digital mockup applications. The ability to take ownership of an identified issue and drive it to resolution is an essential part of this position. Close coordination with design engineers, software developers and other IT professionals will be required

Working with Programs and Functional Groups to develop new CAD/CAM “Best Practices” and application capabilities is also an important part of this position. Defining requirements, developing specifications, and overseeing application development will require knowledge of the problem trying to be solved, the applications and data involved, and the “to-be” state. Independent research and the open exchange of ideas are skills required to perform in this role.

The selected applicant will be a member of a dynamic multi-site team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills. Frequent interaction with Program and Engineering personnel require effective communication skills both oral and written. The ability to travel on occasion for team interaction or Program support is required

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors or Above Degree in an Engineering Discipline
Experience with CAD/CAM 3D solid modeling applications (CATIA V5, CATIA V4, etc.)

Desired skills
•Preferred Engineering Disciplines are Aerospace, Mechanical, Civil or Computer Science
•Experience with CAD DataNet
•Experience with Applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer
•Experience with MS Windows and unix operating systems
•Experience with software development lifecycles
•Familiarity with Configuration Management concepts
