Operational
Innovation & Transformation (J41C) has an exciting opportunity for early
career Systems Engineer to support USAFCENT and current warfighter operations
against terrorism, with a primary focus on Command, Control, Communications,
Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems.  This position is located at Shaw AFB, near
Sumter, South Carolina, and includes travel to select US operating locations in
the Middle East.  The candidate will have
opportunities to support US Air Forces Central and US Army Central HQs on Shaw
AFB.  The successful candidate should
have the desire to learn about military operations and systems, be able to work
in a high operational tempo environment, and be able learn new technical
areas.  Support areas include assisting
in the integration of new ISR or C4 systems into the current DoD architectures,
building technology recommendations for the sponsor, and attending technical
working groups with the sponsor, vendors, other DoD organizations, and/or
MITRE.  




Key Functions: 

  • Provide systems engineering and integration support for USAFCENT/USARCENT
    C4ISR systems; evaluating current and proposed systems and
    architectures, recommending design improvements and advising the Program
    Manager on the technical aspects of planned work.   
  • Work will be performed as a team member or an
    individual contributor with leadership oversight.  Technical areas will vary depending on
    sponsor needs, but candidate background with ISR systems is preferred.













Required Skills:

Background/Degree
in Systems Engineering or Engineering

Ability to work across multiple organizations and geographic
locations





Preferred Qualifications: 

BS in Systems, Electrical or
Communications Engineering




Minimum Education/Experience: 

BS and 3 years related experience
