Job Details

The primary point of contact for Flight Operations for all matters related to the C-130 aircraft. This includes but is not limited to:

• Plan and coordinate all Flight Operations activities in support of the C-130J program and any legacy C-130 programs
• Lead Flight Operations' efforts to validate and verify compliance with specifications and operational suitability of C-130 models in support of LM programs. Update and maintain the C-130J Flight Standards Manual in coordination with Flight Operations managers, Production Flight, Quality Assurance and Program Engineering.
• Update and maintain the Consolidated Flight Operations Procedures (CFOP) C-130 Annex and contribute to the update and maintenance of the CFOP Core and CFOP Marietta Site Supplement documents
• Develop and submit recommendations and comments concerning improvements, quality issues, or training materials to support C-130J program managers, Production Flight, Quality Assurance and Program Engineering
• Exercise oversight of Flight Operations aircrew support for production acceptance, engineering and experimental flight test and aircrew training events. This includes maintaining trained, current, and qualified aircrew for these events
• Lead Flight Operations' efforts to review, validate, verify and update C-130J flight manuals and source material
• Lead the development and execution of aircrew training for new functionality and block upgrades for C-130J aircraft
• Serve as the lead point of contact to C-130J program management in long and short term planning for Flight Operations support. This includes requirements definition, Statement of Work development, and contractual quoting for testing, production acceptance, training, and engineering design support
• Serve as the lead point of contact with DCMA leadership and aircrew for all C-130J aircrew operations
• Perform C-130J production acceptance flights, test flights, customer demonstration flights and training flights as required
• Provide formal Stakeholder performance feedback to managers for all C-130J aircrew personnel

Basic Qualifications
• Test Pilot School (TPS) graduate from a US DOD approved school OR possess sufficient experience to meet the criteria to obtain a waiver for the TPS requirement in accordance with DCMAI 8210.1 and AC-577 (CFOP Core)
• Pilot with Turbo Jet and/or Turbo Prop experience with at least 1500 hours of total pilot flying time
• Must have at least 300 hours Pilot-in-Command (PIC)/Aircraft Commander flying time in C-130J aircraft
• Current FAA Second Class or First Class physical or equivalent
• Current or previously qualified as an Instructor Pilot or Flight Examiner
• Current or previously qualified to conduct Functional Check Flight/Acceptance Check Flight (FCF/ACF) operations

Desired skills
• C-130J instructor experience a plus
• FCF/ACF experience in C-130J aircraft a plus
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management
• FAA Licenses: Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) - Airplane Multi-engine Land
Flight Instructor (CFI) – Airplane Multi-engine and/or Instrument Airplane
L-382J or L-382 Type Rating
• At least 3000 hours of total pilot flying time
• C-5 or P-3 pilot experience
