Job Details

Reports directly to Executive Director at BRIDG. The BRIDG Business Development Director will be the lead for membership recruitment and establishing a solid base of industry and government funding. Responsible for engaging industry, establishing memberships, and building industry based revenue via collaborative and private IP programs, and other related services.

Establish focused execution plans to identify, engage, and recruit BRIDGmembers/partners.

Work with BRIDG technical team to support membership recruitment in collaborative and private programs.

Support the BD team in the development of new customer business relationships and revenue-generating activities, including lead generation and opportunity identification.

Responsible for bringing in industry members/partners and supporting government and research institute projects and opportunities.

Provide market reports and BD strategies from both a top-downs and bottoms-up approach, and communicate these strategies on a regular basis to the BRIDG Board and Leadership Team.

Establish a goals and performance based membership recruitment report card with contract closure targets.

Support the BRIDG team with a revenue based roadmap that leads to sustainability over the next 3-5 years.

Develop market base opportunities (personally and with the help of consultants) that drive targeted industry sectors for BRIDG programs and memberships.

Help with the development of BRIDG messaging and value proposition to future partners.

Development and maintenance of an opportunity pipeline for external revenue. Provide BRIDG management forecast based on pipeline and other data sources.

Participation in periodic tactical and strategic business planning activities
Participation in business processes related to external revenue deals.

Support new business models and go-to-market strategies for BRIDG.

Support of management and technical leadership regarding customer engagement.




Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.



Demonstrated track record of large deals (>$500k) sales/negotiation experience.

Ten years of related business development experience with industry and within the federal government preferred.

Strong background in wafer fabrication and semiconductor technology.

A solid understanding of a semiconductor foundry and manufacturing development facility.

Existing network of relationships in advanced devices and semiconductor based products preferred.
