Business Development Manager with focus on Computer Vision and Robotics

We are looking for
We are looking for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial business development manager to connect our world-leading computer vision & robotics research to the needs of our customers. As business development manager, you are responsible for making valuable project propositions. You will acquire high-tech R&D projects and set up new research initiatives in the area agro food robotics. In collaboration with our customers, we work in multidisciplinary teams towards the best quality and efficient processing of food, fruit, vegetables, flowers and plants. Examples include:

  • image processing and robotics in food and agricultural chains
  • machine learning and pattern recognition for handling of food products
  • quick 3D reconstruction for quality inspection and phenotyping

We ask

  • An entrepreneurial and result-oriented attitude

  • Experience in or demonstrable talent for acquisition of new projects
  • Knowledge of and/or experience in computer vision or robotics
  • Experience in or affinity with conducting contract research for industry
  • Good analytical skills and a MSc degree

We also highly appreciate

  • A relevant network of e.g. equipment manufacturers for agro technology and food
  • Affinity with post-harvest technology, fresh, food and chains
  • Experience in conducting contract research for industry
  • A PhD in computer science, artificial intelligence, electrical engineering or physics

Employment with an average of 36 working hours per week, initially for a period of two years which, if performing well, could develop into a permanent position.
