Seeking an experienced engineering leader for assignment as System Engineering (SE) Manager within the System Engineering team. The responsibilities of this SE Manager will be to support the Chief System Engineers from the Blackhawk and Sea Hawk platforms. The role will include, but is not limited to leadership in the following areas: Requirements Development and Management, Risk Management, System Integration and Issue Resolution, Configuration Management, Verification Planning, Trade Study activities, Project Planning, and Earn Value Management

The SE Manager will work closely with the Blackhawk and Naval Hawk Chief System Engineers and will support managing the system engineering work content on each respective platform. The SE Manager will be the assigned supervisor for the system engineering personnel assigned to each of the respective programs and will work with each CSE to forecast future staffing needs. The SE Manager should have experience and a good understanding of Earned Value Management. The position will report directly to the System Engineering functional manager

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering discipline is required. Formal education in System Engineering and/or engineering Master of Science (MS) degree is a plus. 14+ years of experience in system engineering, in the analysis, design and/or test of helicopter systems is desired

This job requires an understanding of the operation and interrelationships aircraft systems; an appreciation for the impact that configuration or requirements changes may have on performance related attributes, cost and schedule. The individual will need to be able to work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and ensure the successful integration of design solutions and changes. The candidate shall have solid project management and communication skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required

Desired skills
The candidate must be well organized and possess PC skills and the ability to accommodate changing priorities on a daily basis is a must. Experience and proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS is favorable. Experience interfacing with international customers is favorable. Previous experience and skills with supervising personnel is desired.
Travel: 10% travel may be expected
