Join the Data Warehouse and Analytics team where you will provide software development, algorithm development, and data analytics (to include big data analytics, data mining, and data science) to enable data-driven decisions and insights. Hands on experience with the Hadoop ecosystem and processing structured and unstructured datasets is a must.  As well as hands on experience with analytic techniques and methods (e.g., supervised and unsupervised machine learning, statistical inference, link analysis, and text mining) as well as software languages. Software languages and big data technologies needed include: Java, Python, R, C#, C, analytic engines, Hadoop, and relational databases. The successful candidate will have strong understanding of data lake approaches with ability to design, development and implement Hadoop and Data Lake components.










Minimum Qualifications:


BS and 3 years related experience


 


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Operation Research, or other physical science/engineering fields.


  • Demonstrated understanding of how to retrieve data from databases and other systems and tools using queries, exporting capabilities, and other effective methods.


  • Fully responsible for deliverables-including definition, completion, and technical quality, as well as assuring consistency across the responsibility span


  • Object Oriented Programming and scripting in Java and Python


  • Hands on experience with Big Data systems/tools, e.g. Hadoop, Cloudera, Horton Works, IBM Insights, MongoDB, Spark, Storm, HDFS, HBase, HIVE, PIG, Java/C++, SQL, Linux, Cassandra. Kafka and equivalents


  • Experience in Data Modeling and Architecture


  • Familiarity with data analysis and visualization in Python, PowerBI, XML, HTML, R, Tableau, or Cognos


  • Experience using a variety of structured and non-structured data


  • Familiarity with statistical methods, Natural Language Processing and machine learning concepts


  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies and runtime deployment of predictive and cognitive modeling services
