The Skunk Works is looking for world-class talent in mission systems engineering to join the 70 year tradition of creating advanced aircraft

This position requires an Avionics system engineer to use technical, program, and systems expertise to support the U2 program.

The candidate will define navigation specifications, navigation data interface with autopilot and avionics processing/displays, perform navigation performance analysis, system integration support and troubleshooting, technical interchange with the navigation system supplier, and perform aircraft navigation boresight procedures.

Candidate will perform technical analysis of related precision time distribution and troubleshooting.

The engineer will utilize in-depth knowledge of inertial and Global Positioning System navigation systems technology; integration/operation experience in design and development lifecycle phases; demonstrated data analysis experience and Mil-Std-1553 data bus interface expertise


• Must be a US Citizen. Position is located at a facility that requires special access

AEROADP

Basic Qualifications
-Bachelor or above degree in a Engineering Technical Discipline

-Experience in electrical design and development.

-Experience with Global Positioning System, GPS, technology

Desired skills
-In-depth knowledge of inertial and Global Positioning System navigation systems technology and their integration/operation

-Mil-Std-1553 data bus interface expertise

-Experience with autopilot and mission systems navigation data integration specification, analysis, and troubleshooting

-Strong written and verbal communications skills

-Knowledge of electrical power, discrete, synchro and analog,

-Understanding of Ethernet data interface,

-Test and verification experience
