The Avionics System Supplier Technical Manager - Aselsan position will be an expatriate assignment located in Turkey. The ability to speak Turkish is preferred, but not required.The Aselsan Supplier technical management activities include the following:1. SOW: Ensure supplier execution to all tasks defined within the SOW2. Specification: Ensure supplier conformity to the technical specifications and ICDs3. Data Requirements: Ensure supplier delivery of all SDRL items per the program plan. Coordinate technical data and software review and approval by all identified stakeholders. Review and approve all supplier data for contract compliance.4. Schedule: Ensure supplier execution to the contracted schedule. Work with the supplier to develop alternate execution plans for issues that will impact schedule commitments.5. Proposals: Review and coordinate engineering change proposals with all stakeholders. Prepare change requests per the Earned Value System requirements6. Reviews: Participate in supplier reviews and conduct audits as required.7. Integration events: Coordinate events to ensure conforming hardware and software is delivered8. Test events: Initiate (as necessary) and participate in supplier test events.9. ITC: Ensure that all aspects of export compliance are adhered to in the exchange of data between Sikorsky and the supplier.  Support the TUHP Avionics Program Manager to manage the technical aspects of the Technical Assistance Agreement (TAA) Export License with Aselsan for the development of the T-70 Avionics System and ATI. Support the ITC organization as required for export compliance.10. Metrics: Request, collect, produce and analyze supplier metrics (e.g. software development, test completion, problem reporting) to independently evaluate supplier ability to meet technical and schedule commitments. Recommend proposed alternate actions for risk items Define and execute approved  risk mitigation plans11. Transition products: Ensure conforming hardware and software products are coordinated and delivered to the end customer on time.12. Travel: The individual will be needed to travel between Ankara Turkey and Stratford CT for extended periods of time as the program dictates13. Status: Provide weekly status reports with accomplishments, issues, and risks for the avionics system development and delivery to the TUHP Avionics/Electrical IPT Lead14. Responsible for all aspects of the IMAS and ATI equipment.This individual will report directly to the Avionics functional group and will receive day to day activities and direction from the TUHP Avionics/Electrical IPT Lead

Basic Qualifications
7 or more years of relevant experience with avionic, electrical, flight control, software, Military and FAA certification procedures, production processes and engineering processes is highly desired.  Avionics hardware  and software design experience is a required. Strong knowledge of DO-178B and DO-254. A strong knowledge of avionic system development including generation of system requirements, system design descriptions, software requirements specifications, earned value management systems, schematics, system test procedures, integration of avionics equipment in a laboratory, as well as rotorcraft ground and flight test is desired. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of avionics procurement process, supplier technical management and subsystem development and qualification. Experience with C/C++ , RTOS, along with  MS project, Primavera, Contract Operating System (COS), MS Excel, MS Word , and the ability to manage multiple projects and people is required. Good interpersonal skills with an understanding of customer requirements and experience with managing time critical schedules is required
