Become part of our team as an in-country engineer for KF-X effort. This program provides technical assistance to Korean Aerospace Industries (KAI) to develop an advanced, multirole fighter for the Republic of Korea Air Force. This position will be located in Sacheon, South Korea, and responsibilities include:

• Requirement decomposition, interpretation and modification of certification criteria (including airworthiness), as it applies to the KF-X avionics architecture

• Responsible for the Interface Control Documentation between the aircraft and purchased Avionics

• Support of suppliers' design data reviews including System Requirements, Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews

• Identify and provide recommendations for resolving KF-X avionics integration/certification issues

• Support of the specific test (ex. anechoic chamber) procedure review and the required facility capability review

• Support to set the exit criteria of airworthiness in avionics

• Generation of the KF-X avionics test plan/procedure in preparation of avionics verification/certification. Proficient in laboratory troubleshooting of complex Avionic Subsystems

In addition to strong technical skills, the candidate should have a track record of success working in diverse groups where attention to the customer is paramount. The successful candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and train and mentor customer engineers. Upon selection, the candidate will receive details of the long-term benefits package associated with this international assignment.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Candidate must be able to relocate internationally

Basic Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college with 7+ years of experience in aircraft avionics integration. The candidate shall have experience with at least one Avionic Development Cycle from Requirements Definition to Aircraft Integration

• Experience to develop, verify and perform avionics integration on avionics systems

• Experience using technical expertise to effectively manage supplier performance for the procurement of avionics systems, including requirements traceability

• Experience with avionics design, integration and troubleshooting of complex avionic subsystems

• Experience with avionics verification/certification (Airworthiness)

• Experience mentoring or training engineers on diverse teams

• Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Desired skills

Person with extensive Avionics experience, especially specialized in electrical/electronic components. He/She provides technical assistance in the areas of design, procurement, manufacturing, quality and subcontractor management of Avionics LRUs

• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Experience with military or government programs
• Experience working with international customers, particularly the Korean Government or culture
• Experience with Export Control Compliance"
