Seeking an Avionics Flight Test Lead Engineer with a demonstrated ability to lead an international flight test program and qualify Avionics systems for the world’s leader in vertical flight solutions. You will work with a talented team of engineers to develop flight requirements, oversee flight test development and conduct flight test efforts on an international commercial helicopter program.

** Position will require 80-90% travel to Turkey**

• Lead the full lifecycle of a flight test program for avionics systems including test planning, development of test procedures, and analysis of flight test data and generation of flight test reports.
• Define; develop flight plans from requirements for aircraft
• Define required aircraft instrumentation and be familiar with data reduction tools
• Participate in technical reviews of military and/or commercial avionics systems.
• Provide technical support for avionics system safety and certification processes.
• Lead activities such as failure Investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action. Develop lessons learned, issue resolutions, and design standards.
• Previous experience in the testing of newly developed systems software and hardware. Familiar with 1553, and ARINC 429 simulation and the ability to use tools to trouble shoot
• Generation and execution of flight test cards and reports. Coordinate all activates with a joint flight test team to obtain a Certificate of Compliance (COC)

Basic Qualifications
• 15 years’ technical experience in Avionics Flight Test
• 15 years’ technical experience in requirements definition, architecture, integration, verification, and qualification
• Familiarity with Military and/or FAA certification standards
• Knowledge of Mil Standards, Digital Busses architecture (Ethernet, ARINC-429, MIL-STD- 1553)

Desired skills
• Familiarity with DO-178 Software Certification and/or DO-254 Electronics Hardware Certification
• FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER)
• FAA Organization Designation Authority (ODA)
• Working knowledge of the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) technical standard
• Working knowledge of EVMS / Control Account Management

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering
