Job Details

Perform electrical and mechanical assembly/test activities at the sub-system and spacecraft level. Perform work from Test procedures, engineering drawings, and manufacturing process plans. Support test operations in areas of cabling, test equipment, test procedures, and computers. This would include sub-system / system test including environments, Thermal Vacuum Acceptance Cycle (TVAC), Vibration etc. Box installation, harness routing, and final close out activities. Support both test operations and manufacturing operations

Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas. Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems. Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions. Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format. Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions

Basic Qualifications
• Must have experience working with test and measurement equipment (i.e. O-scopes, frequency response analyzers, spectrum analyzers, multi-meters, scales, torque wrenches)
• Must be able to read and work from schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, sketches, wiring connection lists and other information and documentation
• Must be able to calculate and measure (fractions and decimals)
• Must be able to pass the skills certification courses required by the program OTSDA
• Must be able to work shift work and weekend work as needed
• Must have an active Security Clearance – Either Top Secret or SCI

Desired skills
• Electrical trouble shooting skills
• Assembly of RF components/ wave guides and cabling
• Usage and knowledge of adhesives and bonding materials
• Knowledge and experience of crane operations, lifting and handling
• Knowledge and experience in spacecraft ground processing life cycle in preparation for launch/mission operations
• Knowledge of Assembly, Test, and Launch Operations
• Knowledge of general test equipment operations
• Knowledge of environmental test operations
• Knowledge of proper use of standard hand tools
