This position is provides functional leadership to the System Administration and Network Engineering team in Boulder, responsible for Engineering services in the Boulder labs, design and implementation of operational upgrades, ongoing level-2 support to operations
This position requires strong negotiation skills and entails cost and schedule management (CAM) responsibilities for multiple projects. It is also expected that this position will engage in and be fully cognizant of the team’s products and services which are being produced and delivered to the customer.

This position will play an essential role on the SBIRS Ground Segment Hardware Engineering Team and will be expected to engage in the management and development of personnel to include performing candid employee reviews/evaluations. In addition, this position will be responsible for employee selection/recruitment, training, mentoring, time charging review/approval, salary planning, promotion planning, recognition activities and in general, maintaining a rewarding and productive work environment for this team. Further, the position includes technical leadership and execution of assigned projects. The selected candidate must demonstrate the Full Spectrum Leadership attributes: Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships, Energize the Team, Deliver Results, and Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability

The selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet minimum requirements for access to classified information. The candidate must possess a current/active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI access

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to easily convey information/data

Exceptional attitude and leadership qualities

Current/active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI access

Desired skills
Background in technology, engineering, hardware, system administration, or network administration
Familiarity with Space Ground Systems
Experience with Air Force Customer
Currently serving in a full-time technical or management role on the SBIRS Program
SBIRS Program experience and knowledge to include Block 10
