The candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the Configuration Management (CM) plans and requirements on the Trident program. Review and analyze new documentation and proposed changes to the Navigation Subsystem configuration in the areas of System, Software, and Hardware to determine the effect on the overall product and its related Design Disclosure Package (DDP) of engineering documentation. Prepare and process Engineering Change Requests, Change Orders, and other Configuration Management (CM) change authorization documentation required by the company and its contracts. Conduct sit-down and electronic Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, as required to expedite change, waiver, and deviation approvals. Ensure the accuracy of the CM databases. Prepare, validate, and maintain configuration status accounting reports of change effect on the overall product. Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinate changes with engineering, quality, logistics, manufacturing, design, software, and other CM process stakeholders. Ensure that customer requirements are implemented and review change accounting activity to ensure compliance with configuration management requirements. Provide constant CM liaison to LM internal organizations and to external customers to ensure that all parties are aware of all CM activities and their status. Establish configuration baselines and maintain tactical, test, and support configuration baselines. Assist LM Quality and the government in the conduct of Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) and the resolution of PCA findings. Resolve CM issues within company, subcontractors, and customers
Candidate must also be knowledgeable in manufacturing processes, software processes, specification development, and drawing development. Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to lead a cross functional CCB team. Proficiency with the use of personal computers and CM support computer applications is required
Candidate will represent CM at frequent LM and customer meetings and must be expertly familiar with CM program requirements to be able to formally present them and explain them to other LM people and to our customers. Meeting support will be require periodic travel. Will be required to estimate and quote CM efforts in Cost Proposals based on CM maintained productivity metrics

Basic Qualifications
Working knowledge of and experience with all aspects of Systems, Hardware, and Software Configuration Management (CM), Department of Defense (DOD) specifications and standards, Trident SSP Instructions (SSPINSTs), T9001 Program Quality requirements, and the preparation and control of engineering specifications to DOD requirements. Excellent communications skills are required

Desired skills
Possess an Engineering or other technical degree with a CM background of five (5) or more years. Working knowledge of Systems, Hardware, and Software development processes. Working knowledge of computer based tools such as ClearCase, ClearQuest, DOORS, MS Office, and Product Data Management (PDM) systems
