Under relatively close direction, perform a variety of specific professional engineering tasks of an analysis, design, or test nature. Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of basic analytical engineering problems. Select and/or modify proven methods, mathematical formula, previous design and test information, handbook data or other available information related to the assignment. Prepare and complete the design of components or portions of moderately complex functional systems working from overall operational, space, functional and similar design requirements. Design and document or select commercially available equipment, coordinate design results with other design groups, evaluate the merits of the design under the direction of more senior engineers and make the changes and compromises indicated. Establish test procedures in accordance with test plans and test requirements.
+ Perform analysis, test and design and document, including design drafting. Collect, record and calculate experimental data utilizing a variety of test equipment.
+ Perform design, fabrication, test verification and documentation of test fixtures and assemblies under the direction of a more senior engineer. Establish test requirements and procedures to evaluate assigned duties, purchased equipment or materials. Assist with the coordination of test programs required to evaluate the assigned portions of the product, related purchased equipment or materials.
+ Provide technical assistance to technicians. Assist the activities of support personnel such as designers, technicians and clerical worker to ensure that project/program assignments meet established technical requirements.
+ Document results of analysis, test and design
+ Bachelor’s Degree in electrical engineering is required.
+ Ability to obtain a security clearance (requires US citizenship)
+ Candidate must be detailed oriented and able to complete work in accordance with detailed schedules.
+ The ability to collaborate with individuals from a variety of functional groups that reside both locally and remotely is critical to success.
+ The ability to both communicate work status concisely and accurately and to drive a wide range of engineering tasks to closure is essential.
