The successful candidate shall fill the role of Symphony Program Associate Chief Engineer (ACE)

As an ACE for the program, the successful candidate will provide Technical Oversight, Customer Support, Problem Resolution and coordination of a large multi-segment, multi-security level data processing system which spans several locations, platforms and architectures. A broad understanding of Symphony’s mission and business relationships and a high level of emotional intelligence is a must. Leadership skills and the ability to lead through influence are critical skills for this position

This position assumes leadership for Symphony projects pertaining to software modification, development, and transition, and also ensures that schedules, activities, requirements, and resources are properly coordinated. Additionally, responsibilities include: assessment of RFCs and ECPs for technical feasibility, cost, and schedule impacts; serving as a primary point of contact and liaison for sponsored activities and external segments; chairing the Joint Engineering Review Board (JERB); interfacing with senior management and customer representatives; and encouraging technical development for software personnel through technical data exchanges and project leadership training.

The successful candidate is expected to independently identify problem areas, identify solutions, and take appropriate actions to mitigate risk and impacts to the schedule while maintaining technical quality and perform work without appreciable direction. Selected candidate will exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches to assignments

Occasional weekend/evening or call-in work required in support of scheduled and unscheduled activities

5-10% travel is anticipated

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information

Basic Qualifications
• Demonstrated Project Leadership skills
• Excellent Communication Skills (oral and written)
• Previous Customer / Mission experience
• Experience with Agile Software Processes in an O&M environment
• TS/SCI Clearance

Desired skills
• Experience with LINUX and/or Windows in a Virtual environment using a combination of these technologies: Java, C/C++/C#, ORACLE, SQL, PERL and Shell Scripting, XML and .NET Development Studios
• Experience with Software and Testing methodologies
• Knowledge of Symphony CM Tools
• Knowledge of TREQS mission and customer base
