Job Details

Job responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses/labs for the Electrical Engineering Programs within the Electrical Engineering Department. Requirements may include teaching other engineering courses depending on the needs of the department.  The person in this position must initiate and sustain a research program including leadership of undergraduate and graduate students and is expected to provide service to the campus, community, and profession and participate in program development.

Requirements

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Assistant. Professor: 

  • PhD in Electrical Engineering –OR— MS in Electrical Engineering with demonstrated ability to obtain a PhD Electrical Engineering within 4 years of hire
  • an ability to obtain an EIT or PE license (within 1 year of hire).

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strong working knowledge of a wide-variety of Electrical Engineering subjects.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Faculty teaching experience in power and energy.
  • Work experience in the electric power utility industry.
  • History of refereed publications in power and energy
  • Knowledge of design and operations practices in the electric power industry.
