Assistant Professor

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte invites applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor in electrical and computer engineering starting in Fall 2018. Candidates are sought with research interests in signal and image processing, robotics, computer vision, machine learning, Al, sensor fusion and autonomous systems. Outstanding candidates in other areas are encouraged to apply. Priority will be given to candidates having original and promising research that integrates well with existing department strengths. Candidates should be committed to excellence in teaching and the creation of a strong externally-sponsored research program complementary to the department. Faculty duties include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, development of sponsored research programs, supervision of student research, and academic services. A Ph.D. degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related areas is required.


The ECE department offers B.S. degrees in both Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering, and M.S. and Ph.D. degrees, with over 625 undergraduate and over 200 graduate students; see
