About the School of Engineering, Computing, and Construction Management (SECCM):
The SECCM offers students the opportunity to receive a first-rate education preparing them to pursue professional practice or graduate education. Excellence in inter- and multi- disciplinary teaching and research is highly valued at the SECCM. The school offers an ABET-accredited B.S. degree in Engineering, an ACCE-accredited B.S. degree in Construction Management, and a B.S. degree in Computer Science. Students pursuing Engineering degrees have the opportunity to specialize in Mechanical, Civil, Computer, or Electrical Engineering. In addition, students can create a customized Engineering program of study.


Job Description:

The School of Engineering, Computing, and Construction Management invites applications at the Assistant/Associate Professor level for a tenure-track position in the Electrical Engineering program area. This position will have a start date in August 2018. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate courses, develop a student-centered research program, and actively participate in University and School service activities.


All tenure-track RWU faculty members must demonstrate effectiveness in the following three categories: 1) Teaching, including Advising; 2) Scholarship; and 3) Service.

Applicants should have: an earned Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, a desire to teach at the undergraduate level, and a demonstrable potential for scholarly achievement. Candidates with teaching experience at the undergraduate level, professional experience, and registration as a Professional Engineer will be given preference. While expertise in signal processing or electromagnetics is preferred, all areas within electrical engineering will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to teach in their area of expertise as well as a course in circuit theory. Candidates must possess excellent oral and written English communication skills.
