EECS Faculty Position for Bioelectronics, Electronic Circuits and Application System Integrated Circuits (ASIC)


The Department of Electrical Engineering & Computer Science (EECS) at theUniversity ofCincinnatiinvites applicationsforatenure-trackfacultyposition at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level with research interests in the areas of bioelectronics, electronic circuits, and application system integrated circuits (ASIC). Qualifiedcandidatesmusthave,orexpecttoreceive, aPh.D.inElectrical Engineering or in acloselyrelateddisciplinebythetimeofappointment.  


The candidate should have a strong interest in the research areas of analog/digital circuits design and tests, ASICs for biomedical and clinical applications, and bioelectronics. The candidate should be capable of teaching analog/digital circuits design and testing at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with multidisciplinary research teams working on biosensors, brain monitoring, medical devices, health care systems, wearable sensors, biomedical microelectromechanical systems (BioMEMS), or clinical diagnostics, which usually need analog/digital circuits and ASIC for signal acquisition, A/D conversion, conditioning, and display.


The Department of EECS offers programs of study leading to BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Electrical Engineering Technology. The Department of EECS has excellent research and teaching facilities that include state-of-the-art research laboratories in the areas of computer engineering, software systems, artificial intelligence, neural networks, image processing, electronic design automation, BioMEMS, bioelectronics and biosensors, microfluidic and lab chips, millimeter waves and photonics, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, and mobile healthcare systems.


Minimum qualifications: A PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field is required.
