 Application Development Team Lead

 

Job Description:

Application Development Team Lead (Christie's Inc.; New York, NY) Coordinate development of custom software applications for Christie’s online applications. Work within a team to deliver new functionalities, including new sections, pages, and features for the website and mobile app as well as changes to existing sections, pages and features, within Christie’s client-facing applications. Integrate new functionalities with Christie’s applications to develop application programming interfaces to support functionality in vendor partner applications. Enhance existing application in response to change requests and defects. Coordinate all planned development activities and track development progress through assignment of tasks to the development team and coordination between teams. Coordinate and escalate production support. Perform code and vulnerability reviews to ensure that developed code meets Christie’s established coding and security standards. Coordinate and execute application roll-out activities, including preparation of roll-out folders and documentation, preparation of weekly CAB review documentation, representation of all changes in the weekly CAB review, and coordination with Data Center and DevOps teams. Complete knowledge transfer and handover to project and support teams to enable vendors to have access to necessary data and functionalities. Support test team in Quality Assurance activities, including code review of all changes made by the development team, and conducting technical deployment of major releases. Coordinate with the QA team to provide access to environments and to set up data needed for testing. Coordinate with WA teams to understand identified bugs in the QA process and coordinate bug resolution through the development team. 40 hrs/wk, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. (Job Code: KBGFJG16227-2).

 

Job Details:

Requirements: Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience within the IT industry.

 

Of the required experience, must have 3 years of experience in each of the following:

 

  • Conducting data modelling and database design processes;

  • Supporting complex client-facing applications;

  • Developing and leading development of custom applications aligning to business requirements;

  • C#, VB.NET, and VB6;

  • ASP.NET, Classic ASP, ADO.NET,  .NET MVC, Web APIs, Restful Webservices, SOAP Webservices WCF, ASMX Webservices, and WSDL;

  • AJAX, LINQ, and GAC;

  • Windows Forms, and Windows services;

  • HTML,CSS, SASS, XHTML, XML, XSLT;

  • Sitemap, and SEO;

  • JavaScript, and VBscript;

  • JQuery;

  • Omniture, and Google Analytics;

  • SQL Server 2000/2008 R2/2012, SSIS, and T-SQL;

  • Visual studio 2003/2008/2010/2015;

  • .Net Framework 1.1/2.0/3.5/4.0/4.5/4.6;

  • Sitecore CMS (6.6/7.2/8.1), customization of sitecore CMS data controls and plugins;

  • Visual  Source  Safe (VSS),  Team  Foundation  Server  (TFS),  and Github;

  • VISIO for application architecture layout;

  • RoboCopy, and XCOPY;

  • Deployment and code setup on web servers;

  • Webservers# IIS 6, 7, and 8;

  • Win Web servers OS# Win 2003, 2008, and 2012;

  • Basecamp; and,

  • JIRA, and QC.

 

Of the required experience, must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

 

 

 

  • PayPal and other online payment integrations; and,

  • Smartsheet.

     

 

Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:

 

 

  • Angular JS.
