Description:

The Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) in Atlanta, GA is looking for radar engineers and scientists with interest in assessing the performance of domestic and foreign radar systems.  The radar assessment requires system-level knowledge of radar with a focus on the antenna subsystem of the radar.  We value bright and intellectually curious professionals and provide a work environment that allows work / life balance and opportunity.  We invite you to look for opportunities at GTRI.

Education: MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related field. 5-15 years experience.

Ideal candidate will have relevant experience in some combination of:

Radar System Engineering, Analysis, and Hardware

  • Performance assessment of domestic and foreign radar design and technology,
  • Radar hardware test and integration,
  • Performance analysis and limitations,
  • Requirements development,
  • Radar data analysis, tracking, and discrimination,
  • Signal processing and waveforms (including high resolution), and
  • EA/EP techniques

Antenna Hardware

  • Performance assessment of domestic and foreign antenna design and technology,
  • Antenna test and integration (including antenna measurements),
  • Modeling and simulation experience with Matlab (experience with electromagnetic computational codes like HFSS and FEKO a plus),
  • Antenna design knowledge,
  • Experience with antenna-related hardware, and
  • Expertise in electromagnetic theory

Candidates must have the ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts. GTRI seeks individuals with strong problem solving skills that are able to develop creative solutions. Experience in managing research projects, willingness to take on leadership roles, making technical presentations, and writing reports is a plus.

Must be a US citizen able to obtain a DoD security clearance.  Ability to obtain Top Secret and SCI clearances desired but not a requirement
