Job Details

The P220 Anomaly Detection and Response (ADR) engineer shapes the Fault Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) solution through the development and maintenance of the program approach to ADR including failure mode identification, definition, isolation and recovery activity development, system trade studies and design maturation, and failure analyses. The selected candidate will work with reliability and design engineers at the system, subsystem and component level to ensure the ADR architecture meets customer and mission needs including operational availability and recovery timeline requirements. The responsibilities of this position include:

- Identify likely failure modes and symptoms of failures that threaten mission performance or space vehicle health and safety
- Determine the criticality of failures to mission performance and space vehicle health and safety
- Define the steps to isolate failures, place the vehicle in a safe state, and recover to nominal operations
- Ensure that the defined ADR CONOPS are documented and supported in vehicle and ground software and mission operations products through requirements and architecture description documents
- Develop architectural artifacts and design for major design reviews and working-groups
- Translate ADR CONOPS into validation activities and operational procedures

P220 is an agile program that presents unique opportunities to exercise and develop both technical depth and breadth across the full program lifecycle and to have a direct impact on the program’s success. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse team in a fast paced and fixed price environment is an absolute necessity. The successful candidate is a self-starter who is able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks to completion. Occasional travel may be required to support off-site suppliers and customers
