Job Details

Seeking an experienced individual to lead a diverse algorithm development team for an airborne infrared fire control system used for surveillance and target tracking. The task involves coordinating the development of inertial target tracking algorithms as well as image processing and inertial navigation algorithms.

You should have significant experience designing algorithms for target tracking and/or navigation transfer alignment. This involves working with the customer and management to define flight scenarios in order to verify system performance.

You will lead a team of algorithm developers and performance analysis engineers to analyze the flight data, develop algorithm improvements to enhance performance and demonstrate performance against the requirements. Working knowledge of optimal estimation including Kalman filter design is required as well as an understanding of image processing techniques for target detection and discrimination.

You will also be responsible for coordination of performance results and algorithm design improvements with the customer and program management. The algorithm development lead will serve as a point of contact for overall system performance and provide technical guidance to the team
