This position is for an Airframe Stress Analysis Team Lead with Lockheed Martin's Skunk Works® Advanced Development Programs. This position requires an Aircraft Structural Analyst to lead a structural analysis team. The candidate will also be expected to use their technical expertise to develop structural analysis methods and perform structural analysis of advanced composite structures. The candidate will have advanced and thorough knowledge in the field of aircraft structural analysis and will have a broad knowledge of all related disciplines. This position will require the successful applicant to act as a technical leader for large groups and as a mentor to junior engineers. The candidate will be responsible for leading groups responsible for preliminary and detailed analysis of aircraft structures, structural assemblies, participation in trade studies and coordination with Integrated Product Teams

Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. A Secret Security Clearance is needed and a clearance investigation must have been conducted within the last 5 years

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree required with 14 years of professional work experience.

Experience working with program and or project management

Experience working with cross functional teams

Desired skills

Expert within Airframe Stress Analysis

Expert with structural analysis hand calculation methods

Expert with Finite Element Analysis (FEA)

Experience using LM Aero Common Analysis Tools including SLIM/Vision/IDAT

Expert with ABAQUS

Expert with MSC NASTRAN/PATRAN

Fully versed in metallic and composite analysis

Familiar with fatigue & fracture

Familiarity with CATIA V5

Understanding of drawing practices, material properties, and manufacturing processes

Excellent writing and communication skills

Leadership skills
