The Hercules Training Center (HTC) Aircrew Training Manager (ATM) is responsible to the HTC Training Center Manager for supervising and directing the HTC aircrew instructor staff of pilots and loadmasters providing instruction to a global market. The ATM will analyze training issues and future training requirements and make recommendations to the HTC Training Center Manager for development of training programs and staffing. The ATM oversees all training center aircrew instructors, FAA designated and training center aircrew examiners training to ensure all initial and recurring certification training requirements are in compliance with federal regulatory and training center guidance. The ATM acts as the Management Representative to the National Simulator Program in the absence of the HTC Training Center Manager
The HTC ATM is a subject matter expert proposing changes to existing syllabi and courseware and drafting new syllabi and courseware based on customer requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Lockheed Martin courseware productions staff, the Lockheed Martin C-130J Maintenance and Aircrew Training System Instructional System Design team and Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Flight Operations Team to ensure technical accuracy of training material and timely syllabi, courseware and publication updates when required
The HTC ATM maintains pilot instructor currency to include academic training utilizing electronic mediated lecture and/or interactive courseware and instructs flight procedures in flight training devices executing to the approved training syllabi for both commercial LM-100J and military sales C-130J customers. The candidate must be physically able to provide the complete range of required instruction in a full motion simulator while standing for extended periods of time. Simulator instructor duties include the ability to provide instruction while operating the instructor operating station
The successful candidate will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed

Basic Qualifications
-4 years’ combined experience in military airlift and FTU operations
- Working knowledge of FAA Part 61, 91 and 142
-Minimum of 1500 hours C-130 Flight Time with at least 250 hours as pilot in command, 500 hours cross country, 100 hours night and 75 hours instrument time
-Candidate may be required to obtain/maintain CFII, FAA Designated Flight Examiner certification and an L-382J Type Rating
-Current or former (within the last 3 years) fully mission qualified, C-130J Instructor Pilot (IP) or former fully mission qualified C-130 E/H IP with recent (within the last 3 years) C-130J academic and simulator instructor experience in both qualification and mission
-Must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
-Demonstrated interpersonal skills, oral & written communication abilities
-Demonstrated leadership traits
-Demonstrated ability to organize
-Demonstrated ability to provide customer satisfaction
-Willing to support flexible work hours

Desired skills
-C-130J Block 8.1 experience a strong plus
-Prior experience delivering Military Pilot Academic and Simulator Training
-Experience with the HTC L-382J pilot training curriculum
-Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline and 7 years’ combined experience in military airlift and FTU operations or a Master’s degree
