Key Function:

  • Provide aircraft defensive system, electronic warfare expertise and system engineering support to the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC). 

  • Design and evaluate aircraft defensive systems and related electronic warfare systems for AFSOC airborne platforms. 

  • Evaluate existing systems and proposed upgrades; evaluate technologies and develop acquisition/implementation and integration strategies that improve the Special Operations Forces (SOF) concepts and systems in support of AFSOC forces.

Required Qualifications:

2 years or more experience with aircraft electronic warfare systems in any of the following competencies:

  • Integrated self-protection equipment to include radar warning receiver and active IR/RF countermeasures

  • External, pod-based electronic support or electronic attack systems

  • Airborne electronic intelligence platforms (e.g., ELINT aircraft)

  • 2 years or more experience with aircraft aviation electronics and operational flight programs in any of the following competencies:

  • EW operations

  • EW system maintenance

  • EW equipment integration

  • 4 years or more of defense requirements development, acquisition process, and test & evaluation activities

    • Industry

    • Government system program office

    • Government requirements office
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with DOD policy, doctrine, and strategy on electronic warfare

  • Previous experience with a specific aviation platform implementing self-protection defensive systems

  • Previous technical writing of analysis documents, system user familiarity manuals/guides, and other white papers

  • Exposure to staff work level collaboration, coordination, and team cooperation across geographically disparate organizations
Minimum Education/Experience:

  • BS and 8 years of related experience
