Responsibilities for this position will primarily include supporting flight test execution for multiple projects at the Air National Guard/Air Force Reserve Test Center (AATC) such as electronic warfare, avionics, weapons and other system integration. Additional responsibilities include the design and management of technical data package development and reviews including T2 and P-level aircraft modification packages.  Other engineering tasks in support of the AATC mission will be assigned as well commensurate with the candidate’s abilities.

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist I

  • A Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable degree program

Research Engineer/Scientist/Technologist II

  • A Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable degree programand three (3) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of that degree,
  • A Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable degree programand five (5) years of relevant full-time experience after completion of a Bachelor’s degree, or
  • A Doctoral degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or comparable degree program.

REQUIREMENTS THAT MUST BE MET TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION:

  • US Citizenship
  • DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain a clearance within six months after your employment with Georgia Tech Research Institute begins is required

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • We like to see applicants with student employment such as co-ops, internships, GRAs or student assistantships that demonstrate domain and functional experience in support of their academic studies and the work that we do.  Candidates with some full-time entry-level experience are also welcome.
  • We also value extra-curricular activities and leadership that show you can communicate well and work with others on a team.
