Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program


This leadership position reports directly to the Conceptual Design senior manager. In this role, the successful candidate will provide leadership on the Conceptual Design team and be responsible for managing all technical interns across ADP. As an associate manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the leadership and management of a diverse, multi-disciplinary team performing engineering tasks in the areas propulsion, aerodynamics, mass properties, performance analysis, signature management, operational analysis, mission systems, and software. This position partners closely with ADP senior management and Human Resources to achieve business objectives. Perform additional duties as assigned

The applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and special program clearances. An active DOD Secret security clearance with program accesses and a current background investigation is desired

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access

Basic Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience on Advanced Development Programs (ADP) or projects

Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or related Engineering discipline

Demonstrated experience in an Engineering position

Demonstrated experience managing projects, using standard project management tools, techniques, and reporting

Desired skills
Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics

Strong decision making and judgment

Strong oral and written communication skills

Basic financial and business acumen

Demonstrated experience and ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed

Demonstrated experience leading teams, setting the direction, and partnering with relevant orgs to achieve the intended results

Active DOD Secret security clearance with program accesses and a current background investigation
